Ethical aspect:

GATTACA is an antiutopic movie about a fictive society, in which people are being classified based on their genetic predispositions. It describes a situation, in which it is possible to extract, within seconds, a personal genetic profile from anyone, just by using a single hair strand. Based on these genetic profiles, people are sorted into social ranks and employment positions. The movie GATTACA serves as an ethical warning against the abuse of the knowledge of the human genome sequence and against eugenical principles.

Vincent is one of the last people who was born from the love of his parents, therefore out of the supervision of genetic engineers. Vincent's genetic profile is found to be imperfect and he is forced to work as a cleaner in a research center specializing in aerospace research - GATTACA, although he desires to become an cosmic navigator.
